Blackwater Skies / Imaging Toolbox broken ???

I often use this tool for quick look-up and framing references. Unfortunately, a few months back, its “Search Objects” feature stopped working. The only way I can now look-up and frame is by entering coordinates. I have tried reaching out to the site’s creator / owner without success. I have also searched the page for some control feature that needs to change — no luck. Has anyone else had a similar experience, know how to overcome this issue, or know how to get in touch with the site administrator, etc. ?? Thanks

Yes I find I have to enter Co-ordinates lately,

I love this tool, and there was a time when the website was completely down a year or so back.  There were several of us discussing this on SGL and I managed to track down the site owner (or at least his wife), I think I found him on Stargazers Lounge (SGL)  think his Avatar was something to do with Blackwater, and I googled him.  This prompted him to reset the site and it got working again.

He gives this site for free and I think he doesn't always maintain it.

At least it is working with co-ordinates.

I created a field of view simulator that may suit your needs, any suggestions of improvements are appreciated in advance. Here is the link: https://www.stellarnomads.com/fov/

Ah, at last I am able to posted a reply, but not before I resorted to messaging you @ Stellar Nomads.

Thanks for offering your FOV calculator, it looks as good as Imaging Toolbox so have book marked it.

Replying to posts earlier would not work.

The only site or tool that is similar or same as Blackwater Skies is Telescopius, but i do prefer Blackwater skies more really, i don’t know what happened to it lately, but i hope it can be fixed and also updated with improvements and adding new equipment while we see new gear all the time, but i wish something similar or they add planetary and solar too.

I did create a similar app, to make it easier for me to visualize targets through my own equipment. Since I saw a need in the community, I made it public.

It is here: https://www.stellarnomads.com/fov

P.S: I am open to comments and suggestions to make this tool accessible to everyone, of all skill levels.
