Howdy,

Really newbie one - with a new astro camera, I took my flats with a dual band filter still in the filter drawer. I thought about it half way through and decided that I could deal with any problem it caused later. Anyway, my flats are all a lovely bright green. APP has dealt with it, but I'm also using working with Affinity to learn a more manual approach to editing. Is there something I should do about my flats before I get too far into the process?

Thanks,

Mike

You should take the flats exactly how you take your lights, don't move or remove anything.
filters often introduce (wavelength dependent) vignetting and non-uniform transmission across the field of view.

flats are supposed to be taken with filters and stuff in place.
that's the whole point of the flats. Flats deal with vignetting, and imperfections in the lenses and filters.

So, no problem here.
