For the record, the initial poster in this topic was NOT banned for anything that had been posted.

It was found that this member had created three separate accounts on CN, which is a clear and direct violation of the Terms of Service. Our admin team tried REPEATEDLY to contact this person via email to explain what was happening — and to sort it out. We got no response. Given this, we suspended this account until such time as the member got back in touch with us.

We are still waiting and happy to fix the account problems caused by this individual.

I am the original poster and this is absolutely not true. I don’t know what 3 accounts they might be seeing but they were not created by me. I have been using the same log-in for years. Also, the part about trying to repeatedly contact me is just false. I’ve just checked my e-mail and there has been no communication attempts at all from anyone at CN.

Hi everyone,

This thread started as a general discussion about moderation approaches on different platforms, which is a fair topic.

It has since shifted into a detailed discussion of a specific moderation case involving named individuals and staff from another community, with direct responses from those involved.
