Looking for inspiration: What PixInsight scripts are you missing?

I've been looking for a new project to work on and wanted to reach out to the community. I’m interested in writing some new scripts for PixInsight, but I want to make sure I’m building something that people actually need.

I already have several PixInsight scripts available here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kopersyn/kscripts/main/, so feel free to take a look to see what I’ve worked on so far.

Are there any repetitive tasks in your workflow that you wish were automated? Or perhaps a specific tool you feel is missing or could be improved?

I’m open to all ideas, whether it’s a simple utility helper or something more complex for data analysis.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Instead of a link to your repository, do you have a thumbnail list of your scripts and what they do, or perhaps a web URL describing them in more detail Igor?

Just as an off-the-wall suggestion (because of how robust GHS is and how much I struggle with it as a newbie):

I wonder if a front-end type of script is possible that would have some choices where you could specify things like:

Individual RGBL frames? with check/linker boxes to each

Combined RGBL frames? with a linker box

Individual NB frames? with linker boxes to each

Combined NB frames? with HOO, SHO options

Linear or non-linear?

Light, medium or aggressive stretches?

Maybe an AI analyzer that would predetermine the type - hyperbolic, midtone, power, linear or arcsinh

And then prepopulate the GHS settings.

One could then apply them and if unhappy, a quick undo and some tweaking could be done using that as a starting point.

One person here does a GH pass then a linear pass then another GH pass using GHS and her results are always superb. Why I try doing that, I tend to mess up somewhere along the line and wind up with blown out clipped crud or stuff at the other end of the extreme where it’s just not stretched enough.

Would this be of interest as a tool to the (beginner processor) community and if so, a worthwhile tool to code?

A front end to multiscalegradientcorrection that auto runs image solver and spfc if they are needed would be handy.

Also very cool idea, i will also try doing it :)

Something to stack moon, eclipse, and planetary images would be great. I hate having to use a 3rd party program.
