Which controller is compatible with the Canon EOS R8? ASIAIR? Stellarmate? Other?

I can't find any official confirmation, only vague references to gphotolib2

Great! I think NINA also works with the R8, but I was more referring to a standalone controller, like ASIAIR.

I use backyardeos with my R8. Good for nightscapes, lunar eclipses, etc. However, for full control, i’d recommend a dedicated astro camera.

Put it on a miniPC and you have a (much) better stand alone controller. StellarMate presumably would work but I'd NOT put it at n.1 in terms of either speed or reliability.

I've also considered a mini PC, but I was looking for something portable that could be powered by a power bank. Maybe a Raspberry Pi.

A miniPC can be powered by a powerbank.

Ottimo.

Which adapter for Evostar 72ED and Canon EOS R8 (RF)? A field rotator is attached to the evostar and this comes out with a male M54 mount.
