Secondary and spider vein reflections appearing in my telescope images

Hi all

Seeing if anyone has run into the issue if having flat frames that show the shadowing and spider veins of the secondary on the RC telescopes. Mine is the IOptron version but other brands may be the same. I know with the newer models, the baffling extension was not an issue and not needed but this has me scratching my head! Is this due to the baffling issues? Light leaks? Reflections?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks,

Chris Gomez

Reflection. Are you using a flattener/reducer by any chance?

Yes, this is the Flattener im using, which is suposed to be designed to work with RCs. I used it with my RC10 in the past and didn’t have that issue.

Remove and check with a flat. The reflection should disappear.
