Powering the EQM-35 Pro

That mount comes with  12V car type plug to power it through the hand controller, I don't like those car plugs.   I know it's probably a stupid question but I am dumb when it comes to everything about electricity.

Is this just another 12V DC connection ?  Can I use any 12V adapter like the ZWO or Pegasus I have on a shelf catching dust ?

I bought some no-name 12V adapter, and it works great. The plug dimensions just have to fit.

Sort of, make sure the plug fits and that the adapter can deliver the min. amount of amps and of course, it's DC not AC.

I had this problem when I first got my EQM-35 Pro in 2021. I contacted Sky-Watcher customer service, and they recommended the Celestron 5 amp 12 volt adapter. (Sky-Watcher and Celestron are part of the same company as I understand it.) The model number is 18780.  I've used it for years, both with the EQM-35 Pro and the HEQ-5, and it works great.

If, as John said, the plug dimensions fit, your ZWO or Pegasus adapters should work, but you have to use a 5 amp adapter with this mount.

Thank you.  The ZWO is 12v 5A, that’s perfect for the task.

Any power supplier with 12v and 5 amps works fine. I took one on Amazon if I remember correctly. It should be stable
