Hello !

I have a question about APO/Reducer setups :

Is this corrector-reducer : https://www.pierro-astro.com/tsoptics/reducteur-0-79x-pour-lunettes-triplet-apo_detail
compatible with this APO : https://www.astroshop.de/fr/telescopes/lunette-apochromatique-ts-optics-ap-107-700-photoline-ota/p,50207
?????

I have both and encountered huge difficulties to find the correct back-focus... and i am not happy with the final result.

Thanks a lot !

I use the same reducer with a 102mm/714mm Explore Scientific triplet. I have it set up with 56mm backspacing but my bigger issue is tilt from the position of the undercut. I need some custom-sized spacers to between the reducer and the 2" Moonlite focuser to allow the compression ring to 'bite' properly. Still not perfect but better.
Is your image train screw-fit for using compression rings as well. I'd think about changing to a 2.5" Moonlite if it wasn't for the added weight.
Best regards
Pam

The spacing differs from scope to scope and the filter has to be included. Our member Johannes Bock @Johannes Bock here has found a mathematical method to find the exact spacing for every scope and filter combination using that reducer. Maybe he can help?
