Hey everyone,
I've made a free app to help you import your project sessions into AstroBin.
It's called FITSy because it reads the meta data of your *.fits files and also written in Python. It aggregates and compiles a summary for you, so you don't have to type it all out.
It will also come up with output for social media.
There is currently a wide level of compatibility beyond 'just' fits files including most DSLR raw file types and also smart scopes.
See the video explainer I made: https://youtu.be/Z-qIQlg2LHM?si=PMSDfmh_R19ognoB
The app comes in an installer for Windows, download from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wFcdQmi9MyYasUOG0hCrYs1zyI6pjV4q/view?usp=drive_link
This is my first venture into app making so please be kind. Any constructive feedback is more than welcome.
At the time of writing the current version is v1.4.0, you may also download from the YT video page.
*Caveat* The video is a little old I need to make a new one as the app now has new features and will now import your filters seamlessly into AstroBin as well (see Readme).
Making this I learnt a lot and I hope people find it useful =)
Thanks everyone,
Sam
