Hi everyone. I am new here from the state of Idaho. What a tough summer for our hobby in our area with all the wild fires this year. Astronomy and Aviation have been life long hobbies but astrophotography is a relatively new adventure. Several friends suggested this site to me as a central place to share pictures.  So I am trying to find my way around and get some saved here. I have really enjoyed looking at all your great images here the past few years and look forward to more. Maybe the smoke will clear soon and I can get lucky and get my gear out with some friends myself.

Welcome Jeff! I'm in Oregon and the smoke has pretty much shut me down since mid July. I'm actually looking forward to some good rain this fall.

Welcome Jeff, I'm in Northern California and have been struggling with the smoke too. Fortunately we had a little bit of rain a couple of days ago that cleared the air enough to get out again. I hope the skies clear for you (and everyone else) soon
