Hi everyone.
my name is Steeve (that’s right with 2ee haha) and I’ve started Astrophotography about a year ago, and after looking at all the amazing pictures for quite some time I finally posted my first picture (that I’m actually happy with) on astrobin! https://astrob.in/3dbeng/0/
it all started when I bought my wife a telescope for her birthday and I decide to stick my iPhone camera to the eye piece… and that was pretty much game over for me right there and then… I was completely addicted and also utterly dissatisfied with the pictures I was taking… so like many of us here I went down the rabbit hole and slowly started learning and getting the bits and pieces I needed to get better results.
I swapped the collapsible Newtonian with a small refractor and finally gave my wife her present back, moved from the az gti to an eq6-r and right now I’m still using a mirrorless dslr I got on eBay for $200 and Astro modified it… that’s the next upgrade for me!
im mostly interested in nebulas at the moment, being a music composer and sound mixer by trade, these are painting in the sky to me and capturing and processing these images is actually very similar to recording and mixing music and I just absolutely love it.
What I love the most in all of this is the community and how willing everyone is to help each other. Passion is such a beautiful thing when we get to share it with others especially during these though times.
lots of love and clear sky to everyone on astrobin! Steeve
