Hi Folks,

As the subject line states, what would be the best way to share master stacked image from PixInsight to the Astrobin community??

I wasn't sure if just attaching the masters to a discussion topic would be suitable, or to setup a shared google drive with a link…

Also I'm currently going back to old data and re-processing them as I learn more with PixInsight… for a image that I've already uploaded, and re-processed do i just upload the new image as a revision to the previous one?? or can I delete the orginal and upload the new??

Thanks

AstroBin doesn't currently offer to host your raw data, unfortunately. If you have Ultimate, you can attach a single file (XISF, TIFF, PS2) to your image using the "Actions" menu and "Upload uncompressed data source". So I would say the best way is to use Google Drive or similar and just share the link.

AstroBin recommends the etiquette explained here:
https://welcome.astrobin.com/features/image-revisions#faq

But it's not enforced.

@wsg mentioned the IOTD/TP rules, which enforce not uploading and submitting a new image if it's just reprocessing of old data.

Hope this helps!
