Hello everyone,
Have always searched Astrobin for images and such and thought it was about time to get off of the sidelines and become a member. I have been interested in AP since the Shoemaker-Levy impact with Jupiter and have always had difficulty with focusing. Because of that, I really have not generated any usable data to help develop the IP skills. About 2 years ago I updated my rigs and software solving acquisition issues. Lagging behind in PI skills I am always open to receiving help solicited or otherwise. I have thick skin so don't be shy!
As an occupation, I am an Over The Road truck driver. So it is a rare thing to be home (usually 1 night a week) and have clear skies. I try to field 2 if not 3 rigs to eat as many Photons as possible as it may be weeks if not months before I have the next night out with the gear. While I do own a ASI1600mmPro with the RGB and NB filters, I am spending my recent sessions playing with an OSC and NB filter. I know I am leaving a lot in the telescope tube this way but with my rare opportunities to image this has been a game changer for me!
Cheers,
AstroTrucker (Tim Ray)
