Pixinsight used with Photoshop

Hi all,

How many of you use Pixinsight and then move to Photoshop to continue processing? I’ve been using Lightroom after Pinxisght but am looking at using some more advance features in Photoshop, too, after processing in Pixinsight. I usually stop at HDR and LHE, maybe some curves, but then take it to Lightroom after that.  So what do y’all do in Pixinsight first and then do in Photoshop or vice versa? What features are your favorites in both?

Cheers,
Rob

Back and forth all the time between the 2.  Some processes in one are are much better than some processes in the other.
can't live without Photometric Color Calibration and WBPP
can't live without Camera Raw filter and Clone Stamp

In a similar way, I "commute" between PxI and GIMP, also back and forth. For me GIMP is a kind of PS. Basically there are some functionalities in GIMP that are easier to control than in PxI, and, I believe, all of them and more should be in PS.  The use of stamps with different masks is very handy.

Since starting to use PixInsight nearly 10 years ago I have never used any other image processing tool. It’s a one-stop shop as far as I am concerned.

I do. Especially if I wanted to deal with particular star(s) or gradients, photoshop makes it easier for me to create particular masks. After using pixinsight for most part of the post processing, I always use Photoshop for final tuning before publishing.
